8ft high stop log barrier in Florida

FCI Recently handed an 8ft high perimeter stop log system for Chase Bank at Clearwater Beach in Florida.

The sectional panels and fully removable posts mean that there is no evidence of the system when it is not needed/ stored in the building.

To deploy – even at 320ft long and 8ft high would require four operatives for one day in advance of any hurricane, but also allow building operation until the last panel was installed.

FCI’s recent Flood Test of a section of glass floodwall was a resounding success.

When tested to full height the leakage observed was only 0.5 litres per m length per hour – so 0.03 gallons/ft/hr

The glass pane was then fully removed then re-inserted before re-tested.

FCI’s standard glass system uses stainless steel framing and toughened laminated glass, each one designed specifically for whatever loads are required- such as additional wave or impact loading.

Boston Aquarium Station Flood Barriers Installed

FCI recently supplied a number of 4ft high flood barriers to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority to protect Aquarium Station- over 500 linear ft in all.
